1. What does Resync do?
Resync removes undesired differences from inspection results. Exercise caution when using Resync. It removes a difference from the Difference List if there is an identical match between the Master and Sample. You cannot undo it and will need to rerun the inspection to restore the results.
NOTE: Resync does not apply to font-type differences.
2. How do I use Resync to remove an undesired difference from the inspection results?
Navigate to an undesired difference, click Select Text on the Master toolbar, and select the text in the Master panel. Click Select Text on the Report toolbar and select the text there. Click Resync. If the selected text is identical in the Master and Report panels, Text Inspection removes the difference from the Difference List and renumbers it. If the selection is not identical, Text Inspection does not remove it, but classifies it as a Change type, regardless of its original classification.
3. How do I undo my Resync difference?
You cannot undo a resynched difference. You need to rerun the inspection to restore the results.
4. What do I do if the text to be selected for Resync difference is split over two pages?
You need to resync the difference in two steps.
