BraillePoint is an integrated system. The motherboard, peripherals, and Windows 7 operating system are all contained in one unit.
BraillePoint displays a scaled image of the sample onscreen. The user has the ability to set the parameters of dot height, tolerance and threshold. The system then inspects, displays all Braille dots detected and identifies the dot heights that fall outside of the acceptable range to the user. The system has extensive reporting detailing pass/fail for each dot. Color coding allows for easy analysis of flawed dots. An inspection report may be generated and printed in PDF format. The report contains report information, system calculated results, setup selected, snapshot of the Braille region, Braille dot translation, detected Braille dots and user comments.
